NEIGRIHMS is the Regional Resource Centre (RRC) for North East under the National Medical College Network (NMCN) scheme, MoHFW. This NMCN scheme is a green field project on e-Health including Telemedicine implemented by MoHFW. Under this scheme the Medical College across the country are to be interlink with the purpose of e-education and e-health care delivery. Also under this scheme, it is now proposed to link District and Sub-District/CHC/PHC facilities so as to build a Continuum of care across institutions. As a RRC for N.E, NEIGRIHMS has been entrusted to look after the implementation of this scheme to the states of the North East:

vi). Nagaland
vii). Manipur
viii).Mizoram

Tele-Medicine Office Location:- The RRC (N.E) Tele-Medicine Office is located in the Ground Floor, Central Library, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

Facilities:-
1. Tele-Evidence :- The Tele-Evidence room is located near the Anaesthesiology Museum, Staff Entrance Area, 2nd Floor, OPD Block, NEIGRIHMS Shillong.
2. Tele-ICU :- The Tele-ICU room is located near the Anaesthesiology Museum, Staff Entrance Area, 2nd Floor, OPD Block, NEIGRIHMS Shillong.
2. e-Learning & Digital Library :-  It is located in the Ground Floor, Central Library, NEIGRIHMS Shillong. A total of 26 terminals with internet connectivity have been setup and WI-FI facility has also been provided to the premises of Central Library, NEIGRIHMS Shillong.
3. Video Conferencing Facilities :- Video Conferencingcan be done from the RRC Tele-Medicine Office located in the Ground Floor, Central Library, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
4. Digital Lecture Theatre (LT-1) :- The Digital Lecture Theatre (LT-1) has the video conferencing facilities and is located iin the Teaching Block, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
5. Data Centre :- The Data Centre is located in the (-) 1 Floor, Main Hospital Block, near Female Medicine Ward, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
6. VSAT Facilities :-  The VSAT room is located near the Anaesthesiology Museum, Staff Entrance Area, 2nd Floor, OPD Block, NEIGRIHMS Shillong.

Strengthening Tele-Medicine Services In Meghalaya:-
Currently interfacing with State Government Nodal Officer as well as Secretary Health to integrate Tele-Medicine workflow with existing Health & Wellness Centre all over the State. Discussion are on-going with  Nodal Officer telemedicine Meghalaya                  (Dr. Marnanyang) with regard to possibility of State Government sponsoring salaries of 5 Medical Officer for providing telemedicine consultation throughout the state in coordination with RRC (N.E) NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
